Automatic Number Identification… When you dial a 700, 800, 888 or 900 number from your telephone, your telephone number may be transmitted to the company you have called and may be available to that company before your call is answered.
Cellular 911 Calls… When calling 9-1-1 on a cellular phone, be prepared to provide the following information: your name, cellular phone number, nature of the emergency, and the location of the incident. Please note: your call may be answered by a telephone company operator or a 9-1-1 dispatcher outside of your area.
Privacy Considerations… The 9-1-1 emergency telephone number quickly summons emergency service in a crisis. When you report an emergency by dialing 9-1-1, your telephone number (including nonpublished numbers) and address may be automatically displayed on a viewing screen located at the 9-1-1 answering centers and your call may also be recorded. This display of the calling number and address enables the emergency agency to quickly locate the caller even if the call is disrupted by the crisis.
